The Cape Point is situated at the south-western tip of Africa. It is well known for treacherous seas as you pass from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean or visa-versa. Cape point also has many variations of beautiful flowers to see. The scenery at Cape Point is one of splendour and detail, so give yourself a few hours to explore. The park has numerous walking trails and areas for you to explore and perhaps have a picnic lunch.
There is also a funicular that will take you right to the tip of the point where you can see the whole of the peninsula. When visiting Cape Town this is a must see local attraction. Whilst Cape Point is easily the most spectacular and most popular of the southern points it is not the most southerly, this can be found 90 miles to the south east, where Cape Agulhas can be found.
