Cape Town International air port is the second busiest in South Africa, the 3rd busiest in African and has been voted the leading air port in Africa by the Travel Awards for the seventh consecutive year.
There are currently five terminals, with two being for international arrivals and departures and the remaining three being for domestic flights.
There are three main airlines that service Cape Town from London Heathrow airport, British Airways with several flights a day, South African Airways with several flights a day and Virgin Atlantic being seasonal.
There is currently a major upgrade underway at the airport with increased car parking and a new terminal being constructed - this will be open in time to welcome visitors for the
2010 world cup.
