The Iziko planetarium offers a unique experience in letting you view the stars and constellations of the Southern African sky from the warmth and comfort of the state of the art domed Iziko museum.
The planetarium is one of only two to be found in South Africa and can be found in central Cape Town at 25 Queen Victoria Street.
If the weather takes a turn for the worse, which can happen when the wind changes direction in Cape Town - this is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. An adult can expect to pay R20 (around ₤1.10) and children will pay R6 (around 30p), the planetarium also has a cafe and one or two shops with ample parking and access for the disabled.
