Cape Town swung into action on Sunday night (29th Nov) with the big switch on of the Christmas lights in Adderley Street in the city.
It is thought that over 120,000 people lined the street to watch the turn on along with a host of local and international football stars including the FIFA Secretary-General Jerome Valcke.
The lights turn on is part of the week long celebration heading towards the 2010 World Cup draw which will be held in Cape Town this Friday (4th Dec).
