Muizenberg can be found in the southern suburbs of Cape Town sitting along side False Bay. Muizenberg has a distinct relaxed beachy atmosphere with a very stress free environment One of the main attractions is its white sandy beach which if followed will take you 25 miles away to Gordons Bay on the far distant shores of False Bay.
Muizenberg beach itself has two distinct sections, one is surfers corner a haven for the young and up and coming surfer, the waves tend to be small (-3ft) and the waters warm. The added bonus of dedicated life gaurds and shark spotters should also put you at ease.
You then have Muizernberg beach, which is a short 5 minute walk from the hussle and bussle of surfers corner where you can swim in a blue flag beach, again, with dedicated life gaurds watching over you.
Closer to sun rise circle is the spot to sit and watch the kite surfers, the winds along this stretch of beach can at times get up to gale force strength, which whilst not the greatest for sun bathing can really help to propell the kite surfers into some amazing tricks and stunts.
Sun rise circle (a 15 minute walk along the beach from surfers corner) is also host to the weekly flea market which is held every Sunday - where all sorts of useful (and plenty of useless) everyday house hold items can be bought for much cheaper prices than those at local shops.
Other attractions include the locally well known Masque theatre and the stunning views of Boyes Drive, information on both of these can be found on our site.
