The waters around South African have plenty of marine animals for you to view and even swim with, one of them being the great white shark an often misunderstood animal but one that demands respect. It is possible in South Africa to cage dive with these magnificant creatures.


There are many operators in this exciting activity, one such company is White Shark Ecoventures, a company which operates out of Gansbaai (Dyer Island is where the actual sharks are located) which is roughly a two hour drive from Cape Town.
