World of birds in Hout Bay boasts over 3000 birds and other small animals of 400 different species in Africa's largest wild bird park. There are over 100 different walk through avaries of varying sizes so you can see the birds up close. You can expect to see parrots, owls, emus, Crowned crane and the Indian blue peafowl to name a few.
As well as the birds you can also walk through the monkey jungle and view the cute squirrel monkeys, Tamarins, Meerkats and Bushpigs.
The park feels more like a tropical garden, as it's set in over 4 hectares (40 000 m2) and with backdrops of the Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain.
It is possible to sponsor an aviary, adopt a bird or become a member of the park which will then entitle you to free entry as well as a host of other goodies through out the year.
The park also runs a bird hospital which also is used as a breeding center for certain species of bird and mamals that they have at the park.
